  • Shaped by cooling fog from the Pacific Ocean, the Russian River Valley enjoys a long, even growing season, and Chardonnay thrives in the region’s alluvial soils. Indicative of its cool-climate origins, with bright acidity beneath notes of pear, apple, pineapple, apricot, nutmeg and vanilla—all framed by a richly textured palate.
  • Only the finest California grapes make their way into Harken Wines. We find a bunch of these dazzling grapes in the Arroyo Seco AVA of Salinas Valley. Think crème brulée and buttered toast, with a fresh finish. Our rich Chardonnay flaunts a time-honored profile of tropical fruit and Bosc pear alongside warm oak aromatics.
  • Impressions of raisins and walnuts are married to silky, dried red berry and currant flavors and aromas in this lush, finely structured wine, which shows a velvety, mellow texture supported by fresh, clean acidic notes.
  • This Cabernet Sauvignon is big and lush with huge gobs of fruit in the aroma and flavor. The texture of the wine is soft and supple, typical of Cabernet Sauvignons grown in our area of the Oakville AVA. The sweet vanilla character derived from 22 months in the barrels blends well with the black cherry and blackberry flavors and aromas of the wine.

  • A dark cherry colour with good depth. Balsamic aromas with hints of ripe fruit, complex and spicy. The attack is fresh and light, with soft, rounded tannins. The finish proves persistent with some reminders of toasted oak. Its passage through the mouth is pleasant and elegant, fresh and easy to drink.
  • This sparkling wine is produced by the soft pressing of selected Raboso grapes from the Piave and Trentino Lagrien area. The bright color is peach pink with deli- cate deep red glimmers. It has a delicate perlage and the foam is rich and persistent. The aroma is reminiscent of pink grapefruit, raspberry and blackcurrant with a hint of wild roses. Its taste is intense with adequate acidity, well-balanced and fresh with notes of raspberry.
  • Winery Tasting Notes - For the second year in a row, the 2008 vintage started off with a very dry spring, which typically produces smaller clusters, smaller berries, and less canopy overall. Frost visited many vineyards over several nights in April, further reducing potential yield. Then a hot spell engulfed the region in the middle of May, while grape clusters were flowering, again threatening to lower yields. The main growing season, however, was without incident, with warm to hot days and cool nights the rule, and all of this cabernet was harvested between September 11th and October 27th. Aromas of blackberry, cocoa, and currant lead to a rich, layered mouthfeel, replete with black cherry, cedar, and cassis, and structured with lush, mature tannins. Enjoy this seductive cabernet sauvignon now and over the next several years.
