George Smith, our founder, was a trailblazer with an irrepressible spirit. In creating a whisky in his honour we were understandably keen to do him justice. The Glenlivet Founder’s Reserve captures the distinct, smooth, fruity taste that he first envisioned in 1824 and for which we are still renowned today. And because we remain as dedicated to innovation as our founder ever was, we’ve given this classic single malt a contemporary twist.

This exquisite Glenlivet 25 years old is an expression that has been created by selectively finishing our whisky across first-fill Pedro Ximénez Sherry and Tronçais Oak Cognac casks, bringing indulgent richness to the iconic smooth and fruity house style of The Glenlivet. Enticing notes of sweet fig and blood orange deriving from the sherry influence are complemented by the Cognac cask’s warming notes of ginger, toasted oak, and a hint of charred pineapple. With rich amber and golden shades, the finish of this expression is incredibly long, sweet, and with gentle spice notes.

This vintage Cote des Roses celebrates theArt de Vivre Mediterranean. The soil, very varied, is essentially made up of hard limestone from the garrigues, schist soils but also gravel brought by the rivers of Languedoc. The climate, hot and windy ("semi-arid Mediterranean climate with mild winter variations") favours the ripening of the grapes and their good health, while keeping freshness thanks to the altitude and the effect of the sea, which mitigates the high summer temperatures. The bottle has a new rose-shaped bottom, created by a young designer from the Ecole Boulle. It's a wine that offers itself like a bouquet of roses!
