This western highland malt is said to have been originally founded in 1794. Oban is a true classic with an amber color, an assertive, round nose and a rich smooth, slightly viscous body. On the palate, it is dry with malty and fruity undertones. It has a wonderful smooth and aromatic finish. -
A Sherry wood matured 12 year old from Macallan, a superbly balanced affair, one of the best of its age group. Crisp and sweet. There are notes of sultanas and fresh apple blossom. There is a defined floral note followed by Sherry hints. Calvados emerges with a tropical fruit note and golden syrup. -

There are notes of chewy resinous wood with a well-balanced acidity. Fudge and Madeira with apple crumble with calvados. The palate is full and rich with winter spice; cinnamon and cloves, thick oak with developing aridity. The finish is long and dry with a peppery note. -
