This whiskey is comprised of 95 percent rye and 5 percent malted barley. The lack of corn means that it cannot be considered a bourbon. Aged for 18 months in used Caribbean rum casks that were first used for cognac, the whiskey is matured for six to seven years in total. It weighs in at a flavorful 100 proof. -

This western highland malt is said to have been originally founded in 1794. Oban is a true classic with an amber color, an assertive, round nose and a rich smooth, slightly viscous body. On the palate, it is dry with malty and fruity undertones. It has a wonderful smooth and aromatic finish. -
A Sherry wood matured 12 year old from Macallan, a superbly balanced affair, one of the best of its age group. Crisp and sweet. There are notes of sultanas and fresh apple blossom. There is a defined floral note followed by Sherry hints. Calvados emerges with a tropical fruit note and golden syrup. -

A vatted malt (or should we say blended malt) from Johnnie Walker, Jim Murray awarded this 15 year old a whopping 95 points in his 2010 Whisky Bible!. The nose is quite rich and full. There are notes of mocchaccino and espresso coffee, wood smoke and a fireplace, a touch of bitter chocolate and oak. The palate is of medium-body with notes of crisp cereals, coffee beans and chocolate, a date note with a touch of walnut. The finish is quite long and spicy with honeyed sweetness and oak. -

The subtlety and complexity of Bulleit Bourbon come from its unique blend of rye, corn, and barley malt, along with special strains of yeast and pure Kentucky limestone filtered water. Due to its especially high rye content, Bulleit Bourbon has a bold, spicy character with a finish that's distinctively clean and smooth. Medium amber in color, with gentle spiciness and sweet oak aromas. Mid-palate is smooth with tones of maple, oak, and nutmeg. Finish is long, dry, and satiny with a light toffee flavor. -

Redemption Rye’s goal is to bring back the classic American Rye cocktail. While the Federal law states that a whiskey must be 51% rye grain to be classified as a rye, we chose to push our grain content to 95%. This not only pushes the flavor forward, but it also magnifies the unique profile of the rye grains. -
Red Label was created by the Johnnie Walker company in 1909, this is a classic blended whiskies, a great mixer and back bar favourite. The nose is quite pungent and full. There are notes of heather roots, cut herbs, a touch of fresh fruits and honey. The palate is quite full and rich. There are notes of malted barley and potpourri, a touch of winter spice and fruitcake. The finish is quite long and pungent, there is a good smoke note with a touch of oak. -
