Originated in 1862, Bacardi Añejo rum is original, mixable light-bodied, premium aged rum. Anejo, the ancient Castillian word for “aged”. Aged in oak barrels for 6 years. Bacardi Añejo Rum, is blended to achieve characteristic Bacardi smoothness. Dark brown rum distilled from fermented molasses. Añejo is certainly one of the favorites of the Bacardi Rum brand. The aged flavor of the blend comes through even though this is fairly light rum. Caramel coloring isn’t overpowering but present in this balanced, aged rum.
